Self-adjusting bonnet seal retainer

As with the blade and clevis, the bonnet seal retainer mirrors the perpendicular movement of the blade. The cartridge style retainer is “live leaded” and readily accessible by removing the rear bonnet cover. Seals may be replaced without taking the gate out of service.

Resilient main seal

The main seal is wider and thicker than o-ring seals found in traditional knife gates. The seal is constructed of a food grade, wear resisting urethane compound that compensates for wear and mechanical abrasion. It performs well in abrasive and non abrasive applications.

Tombstone blade design

The blade is unique in function and appearance. The tombstone shape allows for valve self-cleaning as well as superior sealing of material to the bonnet.
